Some images and archetypes arrive quietly.
Others arrive with a roar and rearrange your cosmology.
This one did the latter.
In the summer of 2023, my brother and I were experimenting with MidJourney artist software—back when it still felt like a curious oracle rather than a cultural force. At the time, I had been contemplating DaVinci’s Salvator Mundi, noticing aspects of the painting that have always stirred me. For instance, DaVinci depicted Christ with an androgynous gender-fluid quality, as I have since learned that many Medieval and early Christian artists did to signify the importance of balancing and unifying masculine and feminine aspects of the self.
I was especially drawn to the deliberately placed crystal globe held in Christ’s left hand. I have discovered that historically, the sphere represents dominion not as domination, but as sacred stewardship, suggesting that consciousness holds responsibility for the world it shapes. The sphere is often rendered by other artists throughout history as a transparent crystal and, sometimes, an opaque gold. It is generally considered to signify the cosmos itself—an ordered, intelligible universe permeated by light and meaning rather than chaos. Also, throughout history, the globe or sphere has been placed in the figure’s left hand. The left hand is traditionally associated with receptivity, intuition, and the heart side of the body. This suggests a form of authority rooted in compassion and coherence rather than in force, and reminds me of what I wrote on page 69 in Kaleidoscope for Becoming: “We are spiritual beings inhabiting physical bodies encoded for an upgrade of infinitely increasing cooperation, empathy, and compassion.”
What DaVinci’s Salvator Mundi expresses is not control over reality, but a gentle, intimate relationship with it. The image depicts the universe being held gently, knowingly, and in alignment with a deeper divine order—the Logos—through which creation continually unfolds.
My brother and I knew AI couldn’t modernize an existing painting in any literal sense, but I wondered what might happen if I spoke to it in archetypes rather than references.
So, I offered a prompt—part invocation, part experiment:
A Christ-like metaphysician
with international androgynous appeal
a twinkle in his eyes
a glow in his aura
a blue robe
a crystal globe in his left hand
and sparks flying from his fingertips
What emerged was… this.
When the image appeared on the screen, it appeared less like something that had been generated and more like something that had been revealed.
The figure was luminous and calm, ancient and futuristic at once. The robe held that unmistakable blue—the color of truth, depth, and higher communication. The crystal globe glowed, not as an object of power, but as something almost alive.
And then there were the sparks.
Flowing from the crystal, arcing between the Cosmic Metaphysician’s hands, the light formed a shape that took my breath away: an infinity symbol!
People can feel the energy looping back on itself—like creation birthing creation. The image is breathtakingly stunning, and although not as androgenous or international as I requested, we decided it didn’t require any editing.
My brother printed it on special paper, mounted it on a lightbox, and installed it in my sanctuary and event space. From the very beginning, it became and remains a focal point of the room, like a gravitational center.
People don’t just look at it—they lean in. They go quiet. They soften. They ask questions.
It has become an ongoing ritual of show-and-tell.
I point out the glow.
The crystalline sphere.
The way the sparks curve appear as an infinity symbol.
And then there’s the detail that never fails to delight: the “pineapple” in the third eye—AI’s uncanny, slightly mischievous approximation of the pineal gland. When I point it out, the awe doubles. Laughter opens the heart, and suddenly the room feels lighter, more human, more holy.
For months, this was the story of the image.
Until about three months ago.
I was on the phone with my brother, thanking him again for the lightboxes (the other one is a spectacular winged lion overseeing the Tachyon Chamber, as it’s guardian) and telling him how much everyone loves them—how people describe the experience of standing before them as uplifting, centering, even initiatory. I mentioned, casually, the infinity-shaped sparks flowing from the crystal in my Cosmic Metaphysician’s hands.
He paused.
“That’s a baby,” he said.
I laughed. “No, it’s a crystal.”
“No,” he replied, amused. “That’s a baby.”
We went back and forth, lightly chuckling, each of us confident and playful in our disagreement. The conversation moved on. The day wound down.
And then—later that evening, in that liminal state where the mind finally exhales—
It hit me.
OMG.
It’s the crystalline baby!!!
Not in the crystal.
But born from it!
A being of light and coherence.
The child of infinity.
The emergence of a new human—formed not by force, but by frequency.
In that moment, the image reorganized itself in my psyche—not as an idea added to it, but as a threshold crossed. What I had been calling an infinity symbol generated by the crystal suddenly became unmistakably gestational. The arc of light was no longer abstract; it was uterine-like—a field of incubation. The sparks weren’t decorative flourishes—they appeared as the midwives, subtle intelligences attending an emergence already underway. The loop of infinity is no longer merely a symbol; it represents a process: creation continually folding back on itself, life preparing to step into a new octave of form. Be~coming made visible.
Now, Salvator Mundi is truly not holding the world as a finished artifact of dominion. This image is a new archetype of consciousness, birthing itself forward. The crystal in the left-hand of an authority figure can now cease to be an emblem of authority and reveal itself as a womb of coherence—transparent, luminous, alive with organizing intelligence. What is forming between the hands of this Cosmic Metaphysician is not power imposed from above, but a new expression of humanity arising from within.
This is what I have come to know as Homo Luminous, the light-bearing human shaped by resonance rather than force, by alignment rather than command. In the language of Celestial Psychology®, this image depicts an initiatory moment in our collective evolution: when the psyche crosses from egoic mastery into spiritual higher consciousness; coherent participation, from control into communion. Not the end of the human story—but the sacred labor of its next be~coming.
This image is the archetype of consciousness birthing itself forward.
Everything I have ever believed, studied, sensed, and taught about human evolution, consciousness raising, and luminous becoming was suddenly there—quietly glowing between the two hands of my Cosmic Metaphysician. It has been there for over a year, yet only a few months ago did this new aspect come alive for me.
Not as dogma.
Not as prophecy.
But as possibility.
The birth of the crystalline baby is not about perfection or escape. It is about coherence. Integration. The sacred marriage of intellect and intuition, matter and light, ancient wisdom and emergent intelligence—yes, even artificial intelligence acting as an unwitting midwife to archetype.
People still stand in front of the lightbox and feel something they can’t quite name.
Now, when I tell them the story, I say, it’s the birth of the crystalline baby!
Some smile. Some tear up. Some gasp with recognition, and everyone is awed by its beauty.
And in that shared moment of awe and wonder, I’m reminded:
Sometimes, awareness arrives quietly as a glowing infinity of possibility—
And other times it roars and rearranges humanity’s cosmology- as the birth of Christ did two thousand years ago.
I am excitedly anticipating co-creation of the next level of insights and higher consciousness.
